All children should be able to walk to school, says Ed Balls – Camden New Journal

We have grown from the seed of an idea to meet the need for an inclusive community school, into the reality of a happy, nurturing primary school at the heart of Belsize Park. We look forward to welcoming your children into our warm and enthusiastic spirit as the school grows and flourishes.
“It was with great excitement and enthusiasm that we opened the doors to our first pupils at Abacus Belsize Primary School this past September 2013. As a team we are committed to building a school that is the local school of choice for Belsize Park residents and the surrounding area.
"We are dedicated to delivering an exciting and enriching curriculum to all of our pupils. I look forward to welcoming our new pupils through the door and ensuring we grow with them and continue on this fantastic journey together. We look forward to planting and growing learners of the future as our school grows too.”

Hampstead Hill School is an independent nursery and pre-prep school based in St Stephen’s on Pond Street. It is a non-selective yet very academically rigorous school.
There are five year groups for ages 2 to 7 years old. Children are prepared for 7+ entrance examinations to a wide range of future schools while offering a balanced and nurturing environment to learn and grow. It is extremely popular with working parents due to the extended hours compared to other independent pre-preps in the area.
The school is open 51 weeks of the year from 7.45am to 5.45pm, which is unheard of among pre-preps in Central London. Due to its lovely location, extended hours and excellent academic results, the school is massively oversubscribed.

St Christopher’s is an independent day school for girls aged between 4 and 11 years. It was founded in 1883, and is a member of IAPS (the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools).
We nurture creativity, curiosity and freedom of thought through a rigorous curriculum, enabling our girls to find joy in learning, understanding and embracing challenge.
We care for our girls and inspire them to discover their sense of self, their heart and their voice. We let them revel in being children.
We champion the aspirations and ambitions of our girls, so they grow into inclusive, courageous, and principled young women.

The school settled into the purpose-built site at 3 Maresfield Gardens in 1882. The fabric of the Victorian school building was modified to cope with new demands, advances in science and technology, and, in particular, an increase in pupils.
The school is currently embracing its history and has completed building the new school on the original site. The South Hampstead High School seeks to nurture individual potential, and enable the girls to achieve the headiest of ambitions, encouraging a love of learning. The pupils excel at sport, drama and music and the extra-curricular programme offers something for everyone.
